Artists of the Buryat State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, Russia

Art Director: Morihiro Iwata

Morihiro Iwata was born in Yokohama, Japan. In 1990 he enrolled in the Moscow State Academy of Choreography (The Bolshoi Ballet Academy) studying under Mr. Alexander Bondarenko. Graduated in ’91, and he became a soloist with a Russian ballet company. In ’93 he won First Prize in the Moscow International Ballet Competition. Iwata joined the Bolshoi Ballet in 1996 as a soloist. The ovations he received in 2008 and 2012, when he performed with the Bolshoi Ballet in Japan, are still fresh in the public’s memory. He left the Bolshoi Ballet in 2012. Currently he is achieving success as a rising choreographer.  Iwata also appeared on the NHK TV program Professional, and his passion for ballet, as well as his sincere and modest character, brought an enthusiastic public response.  In November of 2009, Iwata received the Order of Friendship from President Medvedev, who praised his contribution to cultural exchange between Japan and Russia.Currently artistic director of Buryat State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, Russia.


Anja Ahcin and Ahmed Yehia Principal Dancers of Cairo Opera Ballet Company

Anja Ahcin

The Principal dancer of Cairo Opera Ballet Company Anja Ahcin, graduated in Belgrade, ballet school Lujo Davico with excellence. For a very short time was a member of National tether of Belgrade, and   then joined Cairo Opera Ballet as a soloist in 2006. In 2008 she was promoted as a first dancer.  Her repertoire includes many different ballets like: Swan Lake, Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliette, Don   Quixote, Le Corsaire, Cinderella, Coppelia, 1001 Nights, Valpurgeys Nights, Spartacus, Bolero, Zorba the   Greek and many other contemporary and neo classic ballets.  She was a winner of many national competitions in 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006. In 2006 she won 3rd   place on Premio Roma Competition in Italy, senior group. She took place in various festivals in Germany   and Greece.  Anja Ahcin as a principal dancer, has performed in Spain, Italy, Germany, Canada, Mexico, China,   Georgia, Armenia, Dubai etc

Ahmed Yehia graduated from the higher institute of Ballet in Egypt with excellence. Ahmed joined Cairo Ballet   Company when he was 16, and in 2000 he became principal dancer. In 2000 he won the First Prize as   the best Egyptian dancer in ballet competition. He participated in many national and international   competitions in Japan and Russia where he achieved historical success as an Egyptian dancer.   His repertoire includes leading roles in ballets like Spartacus, Zorba the Greek, Le Corsaire, Romeo and   Joliette, Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Cinderella, Coppelia, Hamlet, Lorkiana, 1001 Nights and many others.  Ahmed performed the role of Basil with Julio Boca and in Le Coirsaire with Natasha Kusch. He also   participated in all performances of Cairo Opera Ballet Company in the European and Eastern countries.  In 2013 Ahmed Yehia was honored by the Higher Ballet Institute as the best Egyptian ballet dancer.
