Eligibility Requirements

Pre-Competitive Division

8 -11 years old by January 1, 2017
SOLO/VARIATION (open category, time limit 2:30 min)
Pre-Competitive solo dancers  are not restricted to the classical repertoire list, they may perform age and skill appropriate choreographed numbers, classical ballet repertoire variation and /or Contemporary/Open solo

Junior Division

12 -14 years old by January 1, 2017
A. CLASSICAL BALLET (variation must be chosen from the list of Classical Ballet repertoire, time limit up to 3 min)
B. CONTEMPORARY DANCE (time limit up to 3,30 min)

Senior Division

15-19 years old by January 1, 2017
A. CLASSICAL BALLET (variation must be chosen from the list of Classical Ballet repertoire, time limit up to 3 min)
B. CONTEMPORARY DANCE (time limit up to 3,30 min)

Professional Division

20-25 years old by January 1, 2017
A. CLASSICAL BALLET (variation must be chosen from the list of Classical Ballet repertoire, time limit up to 3 min)
B. CONTEMPORARY DANCE (time limit up to 3,30 min)

Pas de deux / Duet Division

12-25 years old by January 1, 2017
A. CLASSICAL BALLET (adagio/entre and coda only must be chosen from the suggested list of Classical Ballet repertoire, time limit up to 6 min)
B. CONTEMPORARY DANCE (time limit up to 4 min)

Ensemble Division

8-25 years old by January 1, 2017
3 to 5 contestants (time limit up to 4 min)
6 to 10 contestants (time limit up to 5 min)
11+ contestants (time limit up to 6 min)

Notes:
» Classical choreography must adhere as close as possible to the original and may not be presented in any contemporary rendition. Please, be advised that this requirement will be strictly upheld. Failure to follow it may result in participant(s) being disqualified.
» Contemporary choreography is understood for the purpose of this competition as pieces in either modern or contemporary vocabulary to be choreographed since 2010. All contemporary pieces presented in this category are eligible for choreography award.
