Born and raised in Moscow, Russia, Misha Tchoupakov performed with the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow as well as with the Colorado Ballet, Sarasota Ballet of Florida, Los Angeles Classical Ballet, and San Francisco Opera Ballet in USA and Vienna State Opera Ballet in Austria. He also holds an M.F.A. in Dance Pedagogy and Choreography from the Moscow State Academy of Choreography and he had taught for Colorado Ballet, Houston Ballet, Oregon Dance Theatre, David Taylor Dance Theatre, State Street Ballet, Ballet Arlington in US, Guangzhou Ballet of China, Galili Dance in Netherlands, Cluj Opera Ballet and Sibiu Ballet Theatre in Romania, and Cia Brasileira de Ballet and Teatro Municipal do Rio De Janeiro in Brazil. He was also on the faculty of the Royal Ballet School, the Elmhurst School for Dance in Association with Birmingham Royal Ballet, and the English National Ballet School in the UK and served as Assistant Professor at University of Utah Department of Ballet. Mr. Tchoupakov currently with YAGP Ballet and Contemporary Dance Competition in New York as Rehearsal Director, Judge and Master Teacher and is an internationally renowned guest teacher. He joined the faculty of University of North Carolina School of the Arts in 2013.
Siamo spiacenti di comunicare che per cause di forza maggiore, le misure emanate dal Governo per contrastare la diffusione del Coronavirus, tutte le attività che erano previste dal Concorso Internazionale di Danza Classica e Contemporanea “Domenico Modugno” sono rinviate a Marzo 2021.
“Ringraziamo tutti i partecipanti provenienti dai 24 Paesi del mondo che a causa di questa delicata e difficilmente gestibile situazione non potranno partire.Confidiamo, però, nella possibilità concreta di rincontrarci tutti insieme il prossimo anno per condividere questo importante momento di formazione e di crescita tanto professionale quanto umana”.

We are sorry to report that due to force majeure, the measures adopted by the Government to combat the spread of Coronavirus, all the activities that were foreseen by the International Classical and Contemporary Dance Competition “Domenico Modugno” are postponed to March 2021.
“We thank all the participants from the 24 Countries of the world who, due to this delicate and difficult situation wouldn’t have been able to participate to the event. We are confident that there will be a concrete opportunity to meet again next year to share this important moment of training and professional and human growth”.
