Artistic director and coach of national and international dancers, with extensive experience supporting performers in joining classical and contemporary ballet companies. Organizer of prestigious events, including the YAGP Brussels 2013 and VKIBC Brussels 2015 semifinals, and of intensive international summer programs since 2015. Since 2009, my students have won grand-prizes, first prizes, and other awards in top-level international competitions, including the Prix de Lausanne<\/strong>, Varna International Ballet Competition<\/strong>, YAGP<\/strong>, VKIBC<\/strong>, Ballet International<\/strong>, Chausson d\u2019Or<\/strong>, and many others.<\/p>

Founder and artistic director of Brussels International Ballet<\/strong> since 2005, my mission is to enable young dancers to explore and develop their full artistic potential, providing the highest-level professional ballet training and preparing students for entry into leading international classical and contemporary ballet companies. I have worked as a classical ballet teacher and choreographer, creating the choreography for the show \u201cThe Next Dimension\u201d<\/em> (Praga-Khan) and organizing tours in Belgium in theaters such as AB Brussels, Arenberg Antwerpen, Stadsschouwburg Mechelen, Brugge, Leuven, Hasselt, Kortrijk, and Gent. In 2003, I was invited as a Ballet Master at Boston Studio<\/strong>, USA. I have collaborated as choreographer and ballet master in international schools in Boston, Brussels, and Rio de Janeiro, creating choreographies and solos for professional dancers, teaching classical ballet, and conducting research on human behavior as inspiration for new works, including the choreography \u201cDark Evenings\u201d<\/em> (Anderson Santana). I also studied the Maria Fay method<\/strong> in New York and created works for professional academies in the United States, Belgium, and Brazil.<\/p>

As a professional dancer, I was part of the Ballet Royal de Wallonie<\/strong> and the Ballet Van Vlaanderen<\/strong> in Brussels, performing principal roles in works such as Don Quichotte<\/em> (Noureyev), La Sylphide<\/em> (Flindt), Napoli Divertissement<\/em> (Bournonville), and numerous contemporary choreographies by Taylor, Kylian, Balanchine, Flindt, Tudor, and others. I toured Europe with the Broadway Musical Company<\/strong> (Scala Theatre, Base, Switzerland) performing West Side Story<\/em> (J. Robbins) and J\u00e9sus-Christ Superstar<\/em> (Lewis Robinson), and worked as a soloist in the main municipal theaters of Rio de Janeiro and Campinas, Brazil, performing classical repertoire such as Giselle<\/em>, Romeo and Juliet<\/em>, Don Quichotte<\/em>, and Swan Lake<\/em>.<\/p>

At an international level, I have served as a jury member at the Encuentro Internacional para Academias de Danzas \u2013 Cuba<\/strong> (1997, 1998, 2017, 2018), artistic director of ENBC Italy<\/strong>, and founder of the Italian teacher training program Methodology of Cuban Classical Dance<\/strong> in collaboration with the Alicia Alonso University Institute \u2013 Madrid<\/strong>. I have been artistic director and faculty member at the Barcelona Ballet Project \u2013 International Dance Center Catalunya<\/strong>, jury member and guest teacher at international festivals including Certamen Internacional Ciutat de Barcelona<\/strong>, Passi di Talento<\/strong>, Labat Grand Prix<\/strong>, Festival de San Lorenzo (Madrid)<\/strong>, Grand Prix Danza Activa (Panama)<\/strong>, and Dance Open America (Florida)<\/strong>, of which I am also the European director. I have conducted masterclasses in the United States, Panama, Cuba, Spain, and Switzerland.<\/p>

I have created and directed social projects such as Life \u2013 Broken Lives<\/strong> (against alcohol, drugs, and traffic accidents), initiatives against violence toward women, Dance for Life<\/strong>, and Dance for the Mind<\/strong>, productions dedicated to mental health. I coordinate workshops and training programs for young talents.<\/p>

My training includes studies at the Accademia Nazionale di Danza<\/strong> in Rome, with academic and professional collaborations including the Fondazione Teatro Nuovo Torino<\/strong>, the Lovett School<\/strong> (Atlanta), and Dance Theatre Parkland<\/strong> (Florida).<\/p>

Throughout my choreographic career, I have created works presented at the Teatro Nazionale<\/strong> and Teatro Mella<\/strong> in Havana, as well as gala events honoring Alicia Alonso<\/strong> and Fernando Alonso<\/strong>, with my works featured in international events in Cuba, Florence, Rome, and Basel. I have served as artistic director of renowned festivals such as Labat Dance Festival<\/strong>, Reggio Danza<\/strong>, Urban in Danza Catanzaro<\/strong>, and Calabria Danzarte<\/strong>.<\/p>

Over the course of my career, I have received numerous awards, including the Premio Tindari Grandi Artisti<\/strong> (1991), the Premio Civilt\u00e0 del Mare for Choreography<\/strong> (1996), cultural and academic awards in Cuba (1997\u20131998), and the Premio alla Promozione della Danza<\/strong> (2016 \u2013 FNASD).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
