Born in Cuba in 1971, she has been the director of the renowned dance school in Portugal, Annarella Academia de Ballet e Dança, for twenty years, and of the Conservatório Internacional de Ballet e Dança Annarella Sánchez for three years.
She graduated from the Cuban School of Ballet in Camaguey and is a specialist in classical dance from the Instituto Superior de Arte in Cuba, with a diploma recognized by the Lisbon Dance School (Portugal). She stands out as a pedagogue in teaching ballet to children aged 6 to 14.
Following rigorous ballet practices derived from the Ballet Nacional de Cuba, and dedicating many hours to this art, she has successfully guided young dancers from the Leiria Region (Portugal) to top placements and major awards in the most prestigious international ballet competitions in the world, including the Dance World Cup, the Youth American Grand Prix, Tanzolymp, the South Africa International Ballet Competition, the Varna International Ballet Competition, the Beijing International Ballet and Choreography Competition, and more recently, the Prix de Lausanne.
In addition, her students are regularly invited to participate in galas and dance festivals, sharing the stage with professional dancers in countries such as Spain, Italy, France, Mexico, China, the United States, Cuba, Germany, and Romania.
