Étual dancer
Juha studied at Institute of Vaganova Ballet Academy in St`-Petersburg with B. J. Bregvadze and
graduated year 1986.
1988 he made his first role debut as Prince in Grigorovitch`s Nutcracker.
1991 he danced as a member of the Monte-Carlo Ballet (Monaco) as a Principal dancer.
1991/92 he was invited to join the Deutche Oper am Rhein (Dusseldorf) Germany as Principal
soloist.
1993 Kirjonen returned to the Finnish National Ballet as a Principal dancer and got Étual title.
2011 dancer pension from Finnish National ballet company as a Étual dancer.

In additions to his career as an artist, Kirjonen has received worldwide acclaim for his
choreographs.
With his great originality he composed music and played himself in most of his choreographs.
Kirjonen choreographs was chosen for the tour program of Finnish National ballet.
As a guest choreographer he was invited to following Ballet Festivals, in Japan 2003, 2005 and
2006.
Istanbul Turkey 2001, Hungary Budabest 2000.
Kirjonen choreographies been in international competitions with great success, cold medal in Italy.
Kirjonen been created choreographers since 1995.
Kirjonen was a jury member in Italy Rome ballet competition with Julio Bocca as a president.
Kirjonen was a founder of Ballet Academy Helsinki 2012- 2022 and is an artistic director.
