MISONG CHO

Mi-Song Cho graduated from the Department of Dance of the Ewha Woman’s University, Republic of Korea. After joining the Korea National Ballet, working as soloist, from 1981 to 1984.
She studied at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York in 1984. She was Principal dance with the Ballet Blanc in Korea from 1987 to 1993, and studied at the New York City Center for a year as a student, receiving a state scholarship in 1994.
She was Ballet Director of Sunwha Arts School from 1999 to 2001. From 2001 to 2007, received a Master’s Degree in Balletmaster-Tutors under the guidance of Gabriela Komleva at the St-Petersburg State Conservatory ‘N A Rimsky-Korsakov’ in Russia, and awarded The Academic Degree of Ph.D. in Aft Criticism dissertation Chair of Arcady Socolov at the same Conservatory. In 2012 she was an Artistic Director of the Korea Youth Ballet Stars and in 2015 Director of the Korea Youth Ballet Stars.
