A graduate of the “George Enescu” Art High School in Bucharest, of the University of Theatrical and Cinematographic Art Bucharest, specializing in directing and choreography, and of a master’s program in European Administrative Policies at the “Vasile Goldiș” University of Arad, Ovidiu Dragoman is since 1997 director of the House of Culture of Sibiu, a position from which he has coordinated numerous large-scale cultural projects and programs. He introduced in Sibiu the concept of a cultural agenda, since 1998 and, subsequently, of a sports agenda, activities whose coordination he has been dealing with for almost two decades. He worked in the choreographic field at the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad, but also at the Slovenian National Theatre in Ljubljana. He founded in 2016 the Union of Choreographic Art in Romania (UNACOR) and is vice-president of the Association of Cultural Establishments in Romania.
In 2008 he founded the Sibiu Ballet Theatre, the first professional dance company in Romania, with an international composition – a model later taken over by most of the gender institutions in the country.
