Graduated from the “George Enescu” Art High School in Bucharest and the University of Theatrical and Cinematographic Art in Bucharest, specializing in directing and choreography, and holder of a master’s degree in European Administrative Policies from “Vasile Goldiș” University in Arad, Ovidiu Dragoman has served as the director of the House of Culture of Sibiu since 1997, a position from which he has coordinated numerous large-scale cultural projects and programs.
He introduced the concept of a cultural agenda in Sibiu in 1998, and subsequently the sports agenda, activities he has been coordinating for nearly two decades. He has worked in the choreographic field at the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad, as well as at the Slovenian National Theatre in Ljubljana.
In 2016, he founded the Union of Choreographic Art in Romania (UNACOR) and serves as vice-president of the Association of Cultural Establishments in Romania. In 2008, he founded the Sibiu Ballet Theatre, the first professional dance company in Romania with an international composition—a model later adopted by most of the country’s professional dance institutions.
