Jae-Hong Park is artistic director of the 11th Korea International Ballet Competition 2018. He also serves as vice president of Korea Ballet Association, and professor at Hansung University Department of Arts. He started his ballet at Sunhwa Arts School with Adrienne Della’s and he danced at Universal Ballet from 1986 to 1999 as a principal dancer and ballet master as well after graduation from the school. He danced most of major roles in classical ballet repertories and modern ballets and also was invited as a guest artist to Mariinsky Ballet in St. Petersburg, Royal Winnipeg Ballet in Canada, Hong Kong International Dance festival, etc. During his dance career Mr. Park awarded Korea Dance Association Competition Gold Medal(Minister of Culture Prize) in 1986 and Danseur Noble Prize from Korea Ballet Association in 1998. He also won the Best Rising Choreographer Award from Korea Dance Association in 2000 and has choreographed ‘Mechanical Anxiety’, ‘Under the Waning Moon’, ‘Confused’, ‘Path’, ‘A Song of Lamentation’, ‘This Shall, Too, Pass Away’, and etc. for his own ballet theater. Mr. Park had achieved his master degree from King Sejong University for Dance Kinesiology and doctoral degree from Seoul National University for Pedagogy, and has served as president of Korea Society of Dance Science and committee member of Korea Dance Association.
